1. Mirrors: Mirrors can brighten a space and if placed correctly, can act as an additional window in a room. But buying mirrors new is pricey! They are heavy and can cost quite a bit when you consider shipping as well. Rather than buy a mirror new, look for vintage mirrors that add character to your home. I’ve also found success locating attractive round mirrors that are in style now searching for “circle mirrors”. Sometimes using the right search words and criteria can yield good outcomes if you’re patient.
2. Nightstands: Bedrooms (particularly master bedrooms or guest bedrooms) are all about symmetry, but buying matching nightstands can cost quite a bit and often look generic. Pairing up a modern platform bed with complementary matching nightstands (that go well with the bed but don’t perfectly match) can give you a high-end look with character.
